THERE’S NO OTHER DISABILITY CHARITY LIKE SKIGGLE IN THE UK

We offer support for disabled individuals, by funding and operating a unique round-the-clock SOS emergency alert service. This provides a place for people to turn to if they urgently need a piece of equipment, feed, or disability care product.

All you need to do is sign up to join the Skiggle community and if someone within your geographical area puts out a call for help, you will be alerted and could provide a lifeline for another person in the disabled world. You never know when you might need someone’s help yourself.

Skiggle also runs an online marketplace where people can safely give away and distributedisability care products and equipment and a Facebook forum where people can join ourfriendly community for daily help, support and advice.

Emergency SOS

The UK's only messaging support system that immediately responds to urgent requests for missing, broken or forgotten care-based essentials to help individuals, carers and families continue their day.

Whatever you need, whether it's a charger, tracheostomy tube, feeding equipment or other care product, the Skiggle community is here to help rescue your holiday, support your day trip, or simply get you through breakfast and maintain your daily routine.

It’s simple. Send an SOS message through our moderated website with your request and we will endeavour to match you with the nearest Skiggle member who can assist. All SOS requests are responded to as soon as possible.

Marketplace

An online platform where the registered Skiggle community can exchange surplus care-based essentials and equipment.

If you have sealed feed items, specialist disability equipment or care consumables that are no longer required, don’t let them go to waste or collect dust. With Marketplace you can sell or give away what you no longer need. Rehome your surplus or unwanted items with other members who are looking for the items you might otherwise throw away.

Previously purchased items can be exchanged here at a discretionary cost or given away. All NHS-provided goods can be exchanged and rehomed but never sold on this site.

We can also help with any wanted items. However large or small, simply place your request within the ‘marketplace’ for all members to see.

Facebook Forum

A network of friends experiencing similar day-to-day struggles, frustrations and challenges, joyous moments and those that make you laugh-out-loud!

We offer a space and a virtual arm around your shoulders, whether your day has been stressful, extra-special or somewhere in-between.

Our private Facebook group is for individuals, carers and families. Share your stories, photos, daily achievements, news and updates, and find support on days when you feel like no one out there understands.

In our forums, you'll find like-minded individuals who love to laugh - especially when it's all gone a little bit wrong. Share tidbits, life hacks, product and service reviews, places to visit, daily learnings, and most importantly, toast the good, and the bad, together!
