AWARDS:
2021 was a milestone year for Skiggle when the charity won its first-ever award! We were absolutely delighted just to be shortlisted for ‘Charity of the Year’ in the Charity Today Awards, but for Skiggle to actually win was beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you to everyone who got behind us on social media. We might be a small charity, but we are always determined to punch above our weight!
Skiggle co-founder, Christine was also a well-deserved finalist in the ‘Charity’ category of the Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAS) in September and although she didn’t win on this occasion, she was honoured to be nominated and enjoyed getting her glad rags on for a night celebrating inspirational women at Blackpool’s Opera House.
PARTNERSHIPS:
As a vital disability charity, Skiggle is always on the lookout for new partnerships and new ways to increase awareness of our services. We’ve taken some big steps forward in the last 12 months with other charities such as Blesma and the Wheelchair Football Association (WFA) and received essential support to continue to drive our bespoke technology forward. We have also appeared in print, on radio, and even on TV, and we’re aiming for much more in 2022 so watch this space!
Thank you again to everyone who has supported Skiggle – you really are so important to helping us ensure our services are always there when people need them.
